Displayed in this poster design is a cassette tape and two quotes one above the tape and one below. The quote above says, "Flat Design is back. This rules." -Cassette Tapes and the one below says, "So great to see long shadows again." -VHS Tapes. Both quotes talk about the composition of the poster or a piece of the poster. The composition contains a cassette tape in the center of the poster followed by a straight shadow coming off the top right corner and the bottom left corner going to the edge of the poster at the bottom right side. This poster was created in 2014 by an unknown artist and it is one of the first designs to come up when searching for a flat cassette tape design.
This piece displays elements of Flat Style including minimalism, neutral tones, the use of straight lines, and the use of negative space. The palette contains more neutral warm tones, orange and red, as well as the use of black and white. A lot of the colors are at their highest opacity white some little details such as the "see-through" front of the tape have the opacity lower so the viewer is able to see the inside details. There are straight lines used all throughout the piece other than the corners and the actual tape of the cassette. The use of negative space makes the composition not cluttered and using the shadow makes it so there isn't too much negative space. The typography that is used for the quotes looks to be Acumin Variable Concept (SemiCondensed Medium).
